It’s October and still two and a half months to go, but already the shops are reminding us that Christmas is on the way and that we should really be thinking of preparing for the forthcoming festivities. Tucked in amongst all the shelves of baubles, tinsel and greeting cards however, are some decorations of a more spooky nature!
Whether we choose to make a fuss of Halloween or not, it seems to be growing in popularity every year. “Trick or Treating” has developed into street loads of ghoulish visitors trying their luck at many a willing doorstep behind which a party is likely to be happening.
With this growing excitement for all things weird and ghostly, Blue Dog Jewellery has selected some of it’s most unusual and interesting contemporary designer jewellery to present to the most stylish Halloween party goers.
Our “eerie” Elm Tree earrings and matching necklaces by Australian designers Polli, are finely etched from thin sheets of stainless steel making them very light to wear. See our unusual Black Rabbit range. This interesting jewellery is handmade by British designers in black or white acrylic. The bold designs feature the sinister “Hand Branch” necklace and the “Spotty Bird” necklace (also available in red), both hung on silver plated chains. The “Black Rabbit” brooch (also available in white) is eye catching and is reminiscent of Watership Down’s ghostly black rabbit, for those who remember!
More designs by Polli and Black Rabbit can be viewed on the web site along with other unique handcrafted jewellery collections, most of which cannot be found on the High Street and are exclusively for sale on line at www.bluedogjewellery.com.
Blue Dog Jewellery has pledged that 10% of all sales will be donated to The MicroLoan Foundation, (www.microloanfoundation.org.uk) a charity improving the lives of women in Africa. Buying a Blue Dog Jewellery gift for a loved one or a friend or even just for yourself, is also giving hope to the women of sub Saharan Africa and their families.
