Harrogate is the UK’s luckiest town according to new research by leading online bingo site

The popular town, famous for its sulphur springs and spa history, scooped the title after it was discovered, in the last year Harrogate has the highest average win* per player.

Meanwhile, Exeter - with its riverside location - led the way for the South West region coming second. While Dudley, known for its historical canal network, came in third and ensured a Midlands town featured in the top three. Perhaps all of this water explains the flow of luck in these places!

And, it seems lady luck isn’t shy of shining brightly in Scotland either with two places - Inverness and Motherwell - making seventh and eighth positions respectively.

When comparing regions as a whole, the North East is the luckiest region with Wales following in close second. Northern Ireland came third in the regional luck stakes.

Lesley Hall, online PR manager at galabingo.com, said: “As we award more than 500,000 winners per month, it was really interesting to discover Harrogate is the UK’s luckiest town. Who knows what makes the town so lucky, but perhaps it is the magical properties in the water?”
