You don’t need to go north of the border to enjoy a taste of Scotland, as the next gourmet event at the Mirabelle will focus on the lochs and Highlands – along with a wee dram or two. An evening celebrating Scottish fare will take place in the restaurant at Eastbourne’s five-star Grand Hotel on Wednesday, November 4th.
Featuring the finest ingredients from the fresh waters of Loch Lomond and Ness to food from the Grampian and Great Glen in the Highlands, the event will be hosted by whisky expert Laurie Fishlock. Guests will start the evening with a welcome aperitif and canapés, followed by a four-course dinner created by Mirabelle Head Chef Gerald Röser. It will include Scottish salmon, roast Highland venison and game pie, Scottish cheeses and an apple dessert served with whisky ice cream. Specially selected wines, whiskies and a whisky liqueur will accompany each course.
The Scottish evening costs £65 per person and the price includes the reception, four-course dinner, wine and whisky. A special overnight room rate of £125, based on two sharing and including breakfast and use of the health club, is available for guests who would like to stay the night.
