<title>Tame Your Monthly Monster with Magnesium</title>
			<link>http://sussex.tftmag.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=696&amp;Itemid=137</link>
<description>Research has shown that a natural magnesium supplement such as Magnesium-OK could reduce premenstrual mood changes, significantly improve symptoms associated with fluid retention (including weight gain and bloating) and help treat premenstrual migraines.

Magnesium concentrations (measured in red blood cells) are significantly lower in women with PMS than in the normal population. A double-blind, randomised, controlled, crossover study involving 38 women taking 200mg magnesium for 2 month, revealed that the mineral significantly improved premenstrual symptoms associated with fluid retention (weight gain, oedema, mastalgia, bloating).

Another double blind, randomised study involving 32 women with PMS found that taking magnesium (360mg/day) reduced premenstrual mood changes and total symptom scores. In addition, a small trial involving 20 women with premenstrual migraine found that taking magnesium (360mg/day) significantly reduced the number of days with headache compared with placebo.

Magnesium-OK has been specially designed for women to include vitamins and minerals such as magnesium, zinc and vitamin B6 which have been found to maintain a healthy hormone balance and minimise ups and downs associated with the monthly cycle. Priced at around &amp;pound;4.29 for 30 capsules, Wassen Magnesium-OK is available from Boots, Superdrug, Tesco, Sainsbury&amp;rsquo;s, Waitrose, Holland Barrett, pharmacies and health food stores. <title>Littlehampton racing throws the (Zap)cat among the pigeons </title>
			<link>http://sussex.tftmag.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=690&amp;Itemid=137</link>
<description>The Littlehampton Grand Prix in the 2008 Zapcat National Championship proved just why Zapcat Racing is the largest and fastest-growing one design powerboat series in the world. Competition was fierce, conditions challenging and the outcomes of the races totally unpredictable as a series of different faces made it onto the podium at the end of each day&amp;rsquo;s racing. It shook up the championship tables and leaves the season wide open with just four rounds left to play out &amp;ndash; two at Bournemouth and two in the pounding surf of Watergate Bay in Cornwall. </description>

Hardened wax, impacted wax, plugs, earache and loss of hearing can all be prevented through proper ear hygiene &amp;ndash; which definitely rules out cotton buds! Other methods of wax removal, such as syringing or using solvent-based products, are time-consuming, unpleasant and often painful. <description>SKIN CANCER IS ON THE RISE YET OVER 50% OF PEOPLE IN EAST ANGLIA DO NOT WEAR SUNCREAM
Shockingly, 67% of people in East Anglia do not wear sun cream whilst sunbathing in the UK1 despite recent reports that skin cancer is on the rise2 . In fact, skin cancer rates are increasing faster than any other cancer and a staggering one in eight people do not know that skin cancer is on the rise at all3. Not only are people in East Anglia taking risks in the sun by not wearing sun cream, they are also unaware of potential signs of skin cancer as evidence reveals that 93% of people in East Anglia have never heard of solar keratosis (SK)4 . This common indicator of sun damage most frequently affects the over fifties, however we are now seeing an increase in younger age groups5; particularly as more and more of us dedicate leisure time to overseas travel6 . Worryingly, up to one in 10 SK&amp;rsquo;s can develop into skin cancer7. In order to raise awareness of this condition, members of the Suffolk West Women&amp;rsquo;s Institute have dispensed their clothes in order to encourage people to check whether they have sun damaged skin?
